Bobinsana (CALLIANDRA ANGUSTIFOLIA) is considered a master plant by curenderas (healers). Aptly nicknamed Sirenita Bobinsana, this river plant’s spirit sings the mermaids song to open hearts and dreams. Working with this plant opens portals within self for deep healing. Her spirit, the mermaid, often visits one in their dreams sharing stories of our hearts song. On a physical level Bobinsana contains Pipecolic acid which may explain its anti-inflammatory effects as it is often used to help with joint pain, arthritis, and minor swelling. It is traditionally used to treat colds as well as cramps. Energetically Bobinsana is known for helping open and clear Anahata (heart chakra) and create deeper levels of emotional healing and compassion. She may also be used as a companion for meditation.
